Metamaterials research challenges fundamental limits in photonics

Today, I want to talk about a very interesting topic in physics which is called Metamaterials. Metamaterial in physics means when we have any material engineered to have a property that is not found in naturally occurring material. Also, the word Metamaterials literally means “beyond” which is a Greek work.

Now let’s see what is photonics. Photonics is the physical science of light waves that related to discovering and manipulating the light. In fact, light known as a wave particle duality in physics.

I the following pice of article that I selected, we read about the challenges fundamental limits in photonics in physics. I hope you enjoy it. Also, please do not forget to download our free physics app for learning and understanding physics. It is free and informative. Thanks for the supports.

Cornell researchers are proposing a new way to modulate both the absorptive and the refractive qualities of metamaterials in real time, and their findings open intriguing new opportunities to control, in time and space, the propagation and scattering of waves for applications in various areas of wave physics and engineering…
